I heard about Ross Pilates and Conditioning from a friend who was doing Private sessions and classes. I was looking for an exercise program to gain strength, improve flexibility and most importantly was fun!
I was experiencing a limited range of movement in my shoulder as well as frequent leg cramps. I wasn’t able to reach over head to lift anything or simply even lift my arm to signal for dog training. I was feeling very weak overall and was not able to perform daily movements without cramping or discomfort.
I love agility training with my dogs. It is something I do as much for them as I do for myself. As I get older I am finding it hard to keep up with the physical demands involved in this kind of training. These goals are important to me so I am able to continue doing the things, like dog training, that I love.
Pilates has given me an awareness of what is really going on with my body. It has really enlightened me about how everything in the body is connected. I was really unaware of why my shoulder was tight, my legs were cramping and why I have had troubles doing certain exercises in the past. The instructors are great for educating me and giving me modifications to get the most out of each and every exercise. I have noticed so many changes in my body after starting Pilates. I have no limitations in my shoulder anymore and have increased my overall strength and flexibility. I am able to keep up with my dog training and have way less frequent cramping in my legs.
The staff at Ross Pilates are amazing! They are very knowledgeable and kind. They all take the time to get to know you personally and get to know your abilities and limitations. Even in a class setting, they give you that personal attention and tailor each exercise to your individual needs.
